If you are familiar with Montreal, you’ll know that Downtown or the Old Port is usually the place to be. Indeed, Downtown might be more practical for work, but we personally prefer the Old Port’s charm.
Finding a trendy and small hotel in Montreal is not always an easy task. However, we are slowly seeing a change and noticing that it has been adapting itself to recent trends. Maison Saint-Vincent has been part of this new era and we love it.
The idea is simple, straightforward and practical. While being away from home, we often need the same kind of basics. We want to feel at home, without thinking too much. Maison Saint-Vincent is definitely a wise choice for business travel as it only requires you to bring the bare minimum. The hotel thought of everything, giving you access to all the amenities you would require during your travel.
Self check-in
One particular feature we love about this hotel is the self check-in, making things very easy. We understand that after a long day of wandering around the city, talking to someone might seem like a burden. You will receive an email a few hours upon arrival with all the needed information to access your room. Here, check-in starts at 3 pm but guests can requests an earlier time when they inform the hotel 48 hours in advance. Three codes will be given to you: one for the exterior door, one for the lobby and finally, one to enter your room. In case of emergency, you’ll find a contact to call or text anytime during the day. We surprisingly tested it and got a reply within seconds.
The room that has it all
The room has everything you’ll need during your time with them, even on an extended travel. Maison Saint-Vincent believes longer stay should also feel comfortable which explains how they thought of all the useful amenities you would eventually need. To the fully stocked kitchenette, the Nespresso machine with coffee pods and the microwaveable popcorn midnight snack, you’ll feel at home instantly. Other amenities include a smart Roky television, natural bath and body products, a wireless speaker, wifi, AC and more.
Virtual concierge
Rather than the usual room service, Maison Saint-Vincent opted for Volo!, a tablet concierge giving you access to everything the hotel has to offer. This convenient gadget will give you your WIFI passwords, as well as local recommendations for restaurants and other points of interest. If needed, a cleaning service will be available to you for an additional charge. In case you have some free time on your hand, there is a separate room in the building equipped with a washer and dryer unit making it possible to stay as long as you wish.

Maison Saint-Vincent is reinventing the conventional hotel structure we’ve been seeing so far. Indeed, this new way of checking in, having a concierge tablet is innovative and a total breeze. We enjoy the prime location, the nearby coffeeshops, the important amount of delicious restaurants and of course, the well-designed space. You’ll be able to work from your hotel and fully enjoy the room. The experience Maison Saint-Vincent offers is effortless and most importantly, memorable.
